Senior Recital

Senior Recital (final project)
This concert was my final performance at Cal U. It was worth three credits and was necessary for me to graduate. I had to pick all of the songs, choose the date and venue, make programs, and set up all of the equipment. I had a total of 12 songs, two of which I wrote, and my one my piano instructor wrote and composed. I had a guitarist, pianist, drum player, and a gospel choir called the Young and Gifted Gospel. I sang on every song and played piano and guitar on two of them. My academic advisor helped me to organize the room and choose the equipment. My friend Corey also volunteered to run the sound board and video record the entire performance. Lastly, my wonderful voice instructor Lisa (last photo on the bottom right) assisted me throughout the entire process. I'm grateful for this experience and thought it was a great way to finish off my time at Cal. I also now realize all of aspects that go into event planning and have a greater appreciation for it. Time management and being proactive are two key components that make the process flow as smoothly as possible. I would love to organize an event like this again one day.
